The garden is open 2 – 5pm on Sundays and Bank holiday Mondays during April to October. Free Entry & Parking
The garden is maintained entirely by volunteers and we gladly welcome new members from all walks of life to join our team
Like gardening?
Tasks include gardening jobs such as deadheading, pruning, planting seeds, planting out, propagation, weeding, looking after vegetables, flower borders, fruit and herbs, harvesting produce and for those who like to – digging.
Inexperienced in gardening but interested?
No experience needed. Why not come along and have a chat with our Head Gardener.
Like meeting people?
We also welcome help with meeting and greeting visitors during our regular opening times and for special events. Other support could be to help with fundraising, promotion and DIY type tasks.
Do you have a
spare hour?
Volunteers usually attend the garden on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 9am and 12 noon, all year round. You don’t have to commit to the whole morning – we are grateful for any help, even if its just an hour.
